The Henschel Reels Company was founded in 1993.
Karl-Heinz Henschel worked as a graduated Engineer with more than 45 years of design and development experience.
He has been a fisherman since 1957.
Henschel Reels - History
In 1993 - Karl-Heinz developed a reel for his own use.
The reel was a completely new design so Karl-Heinz patented parts of the design and began building his reels for others.
In 1994 - Karl-Heinz sold his first reel in the American Market.
In September 1995 Karl-Heinz brought his Henschel reels to the world`s largest fly tackle show - the Denver Fly Tackle Dealer Show.
In 1996 - his principle for the Combination Reel was patented in Germany and in 2000 the principles were patented in the U.S.
In 2002 Henschel Reels introduced the "Power & Speed" reel.
In 2003 Henschel Reels introduced the "Ulti Mode" large arbor reel.
